Weighing less than 5 lbs, it can extend downward by up to 1.6 inches at driving speeds above 50 mph, based on the modes of AMG DYNAMIC SELECT. The resulting venturi effect helps draw the vehicle toward the road, lowering its center of gravity and enhancing downforce on the front wheels for more precise steering feedback.

In addition to its flat-bottom design and aluminum AMG shift paddles, the hand-stitched Nappa leather rim's contoured side areas are wrapped in grippy microfiber. Each spoke includes its own Touch Control Buttons, placed for more intuitive access by feel alone. AMG DRIVE UNIT performance controls and heating of the rim are both also standard.

Racing-inspired microfiber side grips are paired with inserts that bring the look of carbon fiber to the top and flattened bottom of the twin-spoke AMG Performance steering wheel. A microfiber 12 o'clock band asserts the attention to detail in its design.

Directly inspired by racing, the deeply contoured AMG Performance seats feature integrated head restraints and enhanced lateral support from the side bolsters in the seatback and lower cushion. Harder, longer-wearing carbon-fiber-reinforced ceramic discs endure extreme heat and loads, for even shorter stopping distances and higher fade-resistance in high-performance driving. The two-piece discs, 16.5 and 14.2 inches front/rear, offer higher total braking force along with reduced weight to enhance suspension and steering response.

• The carbon-ceramic brakes are designed expressly for high-performance braking. It is a characteristic of their materials and design that brake noise/squeal may result, along with differing brake pedal feel at lower brake temperatures compared to higher operating temperatures.
