Pneumatically adjustable lumbar and side supports offer custom-tailored comfort. Eight massage programs can soothe and rejuvenate your back and shoulders, including two spa-like "hot stone" massages, plus an "active workout" program to help strengthen your back and leg muscles.

Electrically heated outboard 2nd-row seats offer soothing warmth with individualized comfort. Three levels of warming automatically step down after several minutes, while automatic shutoff means the driver need not worry if the passengers forget to turn them off.

A suite of body and cabin enhancements help make riding in the GLE even more serene. The windshield and side windows are laminated with an acoustic, heat-absorbing membrane that can also prove more break-resistant. Four individual temperature controls offer personalized comfort to the front and rear cabins. The Head-Up Display projects a 9.5-inch virtual image that "floats" over the car's hood, placing useful information in the driver's natural field of vision, with minimal "eyes off the road." The high-resolution color display can show the next navigation instruction, driving speed and more, as well an AMG-exclusive screen with a bar-graph tachometer, upshift indicator and lap timer. Its height adjustment is stored in the seat memory, while the display adapts automatically to ambient light.

• Display may not be visible with certain eyewear, including polarized glasses. While the navigation system provides directional assistance, the driver must remain focused on safe driving behavior, including paying attention to traffic and street signs. Maps do not cover all areas or all routes within an area.

A built-in camera in the windshield can record activity occurring in front of the vehicle, potentially useful for documenting an accident or even recording a scenic journey. Video can include vehicle speed and time of day. Playback can be viewed on the car's multimedia display, or downloaded to a personal device via USB.
